Weingarten Rights
According to the National Labor Review Board, "[a]mong the rights protected by Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) is the right of union-represented employees, upon request, to have their representative present during an interview that the employee reasonably believes could lead to discipline.
"When making a request for a representative, the Board does not require that the employee specify that they need a “Weingarten” representative. Once an employee requests their representative, they are not required to repeat that request."

Washington State Law
Washington State Law protects the right of employees to organize and designate representatives without interference. A supervisor or organization official cannot restrain, coerce, or discriminate against public employees for exercising these rights.

Attend any union meeting or engage in surveillance
Ask employees about their union membership and/or activities
Threaten employees with consequences for supporting the union such as punishment or firing
Create work conditions to drive out an employee due to their union support
Ask employees whether they intend to sign a card
Promise benefits to workers if they do not sign a card
Announce the organization will not bargain with the union
Discipline pro-and anti-union employees differently
Transfer workers based on union activity
Threaten a union supporter through a third party
Start or take part in a petition against the union
